WORKSHOP: TIVA

Description
The benefits of using TIVA, both to the patient and the environment, are increasingly recognised. In children, some of the features of using TIVA can be particularly impactful. As default users of TIVA in our own paediatric practice, we are enthusiastic to share our knowledge and experience with others. TIVA4Tots aims to educate, provide support and resources to anaesthetists, of all grades and experience, who wish to incorporate TIVA for children into their clinical practice. In this workshop, we will explain some of the reasons why we choose TIVA in children, and how to get started with simple cases. We will also discuss some more specialist techniques. The workshop will be facilitated by Liz Allison, Peter Brooks and Jon McCormack, all consultant paediatric anaesthetists and members of the TIVA4Tots group.
